Before the 2013/14 English domestic leagues started, if somebody had told you that Leyton Orient would dominate the League One headlines for the majority of the season, you'd of thought they were crazy. With Russell Slade in charge it seems anything was possible. Orient carried on their 2012/13 form and for most of the season they were in contention for automatic promotion, but they slid off track, with Wolves and Brentford grabbing the coveted spots. However, Orient had Peterborough in a playoff semi-final, so how would they fair?

Peterborough United are a club of a similar stature to Leyton, but they've had a successful period over the last 5-6 years, so many believed their experience would see them oust Orient. Orient visited Posh Saturday and took a 1-1 draw back with them. Orient were confident they could beat Peterborough on their own turf, and indeed they did. The two teams went back and forth and it was perhaps a little harsh on Peterborough, but they fell 2-1 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate.

Leyton Orient, who are in the shadow of many of their rival London clubs, are now one game away from being a Championship club. In their way will stand either Rotherham or Preston (who play one another Thursday), so, can Orient continue their impressive form and march themselves in to the Championship, or will this be the pinnacle of their fairytale?

If Orient are to win they'll need Dean Cox, who was their Man of the Match in last nights encounter. Cox smashed the rebound of his blocked free-kick, to ensure Orient would play at Wembley Stadium in a little over a week.
