Manchester City star Samir Nasri not in France's 2014 World Cup squad as his partner Anara Atanes launches foul Twitter rant

Samir Nasri's Manchester City won the Premier League just days ago, and he was a key part of the reason the star-studded team lifted the EPL title, so you'd expect him to make France's World Cup squad, right? Not so, he wasn't selected and his partner Anara Atanes can't seem to accept it, as she's launched a massive foul-mouthed rant on Twitter, attacking the French national team.

26-year-old Nasri is not liked by France manager Didier Deschamps, and when the news broke, Atanes tweeted 'F*** france and f*** Deschamps! What a s*** manager!'. She continued, saying 'Incase u didn't read my tweet properly.... Ill repeat myself..... f*** FRANCE!!!!! And f*** Deschamps!'

It's understandable why she would be angry, but her rant has done Nasri no favours and could have ended his international career. He on the other hand, seemed to deal with it a lot better, saying 'Thank you for all your messages of support, that's life, another world cup at home to realize what does not kill makes you stronger.' He then replied to his girlfriend saying: 'Love you don't get upset life sometimes is unfair but you have to accept it and deal with it.'

Deschamps remained cool when questioned, saying 'He has important status with Manchester City because he starts, which is not the case today in the France team.'

Should Nasri be in France's squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil? At least he has his EPL medal and trophy to keep a smile on his face, but many find it sad that one of the best players of the 2013/14 season will not get to showcase his talents in a tournament that only comes once every four years.
