Alan Robert, best known as the songwriter and bassist of Life of Agony, won critical acclaim with his comics, Wire Hangers, Killogy, and Crawl to Me. IDW Publishing announces a Halloween special edition for Roberts' Killogy series, which is also being developed as an animated TV series.

For Killogy, writer/artist Alan Robert based his gritty characters on Brea Grant (Heroes), Frank Vincent (Goodfellas) and Mary Ramone (of the Ramones punk band). The story follows Sally Sno-Cones (Vincent), Cole Edwards (Ramone), and Summer Rhoades (Brea Grant) as they find themselves locked inside a prison cell. If they stay inside one minute longer, they're going to kill other. If they try to escape, the zombies apocalypse outside their cell will them.

Robert describes the comic's unique mix of horror, humor, and pop, "For me, it's all a bit surreal. I basically get to mash-up some of my favorite childhood heroes, throw them into these outrageous situations, and sit back and imagine what happens next. The series practically writes itself!"

Ex-Misfits legend Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein will star in the special Halloween edition of Killogy. The one-shot special takes place right where Killogy left off. Frankenstein plays a new character who is humanity's last hope while fighting for survival in a world that has just been flooded by an ocean of blood. The one-shot will also include an exclusive 10-page first look at Robert's upcoming new series, The Shunned One, also from IDW Publishing.

IDW's Chief Creative Officer/Editor-In-Chief Chris Ryall enthusiastically described Robert's Killogy series stating, "I'm happy to see the worlds Alan has created extend into new areas beyond comics," he explained. "His comic books are so visually intriguing and the characters he's created so fully formed that they'll translate very well into animation and other area. But I'm also glad that he's still doing more comics, and the Killogy one-shot sounds like a perfectly dark treat for Halloween too."

The Boondocks' Rodney Barnes will also team up with Roberts in developing Killogy as an animated TV series. Barnes will pen the pilot and serve alongside with Robert as executive producers. Vincent, Ramone, and Grant will appear as and voice their characters on the show.
