Sharknado, starring Beverly Hills 90210's Ian Zering and American Pie's Tara Reid, became the surprise summer hit on the Syfy channel. The B-movie disaster flick became a cult classic, a sequel had to be made. Let's see what the main star of Sharknado had to say about the upcoming sequel.

In a live web chat with Daily News readers, the Dancing with the Stars contestant teases, "The second one is as good as the first, only better. And it's guaranteed to bite just like No. 1."

Not even the ex-Chippendales dancer can explain why the first Sharknado movie did so well with the audience, "I didn't think this movie would see the light of day. There were so many holes left in the script to be filled with special effects, that I thought this movie would be a stinker. When you're dealing with a low budget sci-fi movie, it brings to mind Sleestak vs. Gumby. It doesn't really conjure up special effects on the level of Avatar."

So what does Steve Sanders remember the most from his days on Beverly Hills 90210? Ziering fondly remembers, "Seeing Tiffani Amber Thiessen's boobs. She flashed me once. Kind of made me giggle like an 8-year-old boy. Instantly, I thought her doctor deserved an award. Other than that, working with people who have become my lifelong friends."

Will there be a Sharknado 3? Even the hero of the Sharknado franchise doesn't know. Crossing his fingers, Ziering responds, "I'm hoping so. Because this has become a global movie, I think we need to have the storm occur on foreign soil."

Sharknado 2: The Second One is scheduled for release on July 31, 2014. Let's make this one another hit so we can Steve Sanders in a Sharknado trilogy.
