Manchester United endured a torrid season from start to finish, and quickly removed David Moyes from his managerial duties. Since then veteran player Ryan Giggs has been the interim manager and negotiations have been ongoing with Holland boss Louis Van Gaal. The deals not done, but many believe it's so close to completion that he's already handed a list of transfer targets for United to chase.

So, who is on this mysterious list? Southampton's Luke Shaw has been targeted, with United making $40 million dollar bids. The latest rumour suggests that Van Gaal has his Holland player, Arjen Robben, high on his target list, but would Bayern Munich let one of their key players leave?

Edison Cavani has been linked to the Old Trafford based club too, but do United need another striker alongside Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney? If it happens it could prove the boost the club need, but with Van Persie tipped to be the club's new captain, it's likely Van Gaal will do his best to avoid upsetting him.

It seems the next few weeks and months are going to be an exciting time for the Red Devils, but can they land the stars they desire? Will Louis Van Gaal's previous relationship with Van Persie help the pair at Old Trafford, or will it be a new beginning for the pair? It seems like Dutch may be the way forward for United, especially if Van Persie, Van Gaal and Robben have anything to say about it.
