On Monday's show of The View, the discussion of working moms hit close to home for co-host Sherri Shepherd, who is battling her own issues as a working mom, and two custody battles.

Shepherd asked the question, "Why do you have to go to work, why do you have to... and you are trying to explain to them mommy is trying to pay the bills," during a discussion about being a working parent. "Mommy's trying to take care of you."

Shepherd is going through a rough time in her life with her husband, Lamar Sally filing for divorce, asking full custody of the couple's unborn child and her ex-husband Jeffery Tarpley, requesting a emergency temporary physical custody for their 9-year-old son, Jeffery Jr.

Tarpley claims that the comedian and host has too much on her plate right now with her overloaded work schedule that has "caused her to neglect Jeffrey and deprive him access to basic educational needs, a nurturing and loving environment, and care that Jeffrey so desperately needs." He added, "her career is seven days per week non-stop, leaving the primary responsibility of their son to unskilled nannies."

The judge in the case denied the temporary emergency order, and a hearing has been set for July 21.

Although no comment has been made from Shepherd, Wendy Williams made sure to support her friend on Monday's episode of her show.

"I think it's terrible that these two guys have gotten together and they're trying to bury Sherri," said Williams. "[Tarpley] says that her schedule is too busy and that she is neglecting their son Jeffrey and leaving him with unskilled nannies. Well, somebody's got to work!"

MStars hopes for the best in this ugly issue.
