Nintendo Characters Peach, Zelda, Link and Mario Celebrate Gay Marriage In New Video On Heels of Oregon and Pennsylvania Ruling Ban On Same-Sex Marriage Unconstitutional [WATCH]

For all you gamers out there that wanted to see Princess Peach and Zelda get it on, well your wishes have been granted.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver created a video last night featuring some of Nintendo's most beloved characters in same-sex relationships, including Peach and Zelda, Link and Mario, and Donkey Kong and Bowser.

The video was in response to the heat that Nintendo has been getting recently over the decision not to allow for the option of gay and lesbian couples to get married in the newest installment of their Tomodachi franchise.

In a recent statement, Nintendo apologized and promised to be more inclusive in the future.

"We pledge that if we create a next installment in the Tomodachi series we will strive to design a game-play experience for them ground up that is more inclusive, and better represents all players."

The game makers also say that they are "committed to building virtually equality into later versions of the game."

In the video, the news of virtually equality is something that the Nintendo characters are happy to hear. Mario and Link celebrate by planting a big old smooth on each other, and Yoshi and Toad even get married in probably one of the first gay Nintendo weddings.

The show released the video at a pretty good time, with victories being achieved in Oregon and Pennsylvania, both overruling bans on same-sex marriage. It is also the 10th anniversary of Massachusetts becoming the first state to allow for same-sex marriage.
