The Mirror ball trophy was up for grabs last night

In the season 18 finale of Dancing With the Stars Meryl Davis, Candace Cameron, and Amy Purdy fought it out to see who would rise victorious.

In the star studded finale all the past eliminated contestants came back to perform one last time, along with musical guests Iggy Azalea, contestant Cody Simpson, Ariana Grande, and Christina Perri.

Among the returning contestants were James Maslow and his partner Peta Murgatroyd, who fans weren't happy to see go when they were voted off on Monday night's show. Fans took to Twitter to vote them back for an encore freestyle dance, which they performed to new Michael Jackson song "Never Felt So Good."

Shocking moment of the night came when Iggy Azalea dropped a big old "F" bomb during her performance of "Fancy." The Aussie singer took to Twitter apologizing for the mistake saying, "I am so sorry guys! My in ears messed up and I couldn't hear the track. The dramas of live TV. S**t happens. Still really enjoyed it."

The Disney dances were a popular choice to recreate for the finale. Contestants Danica McKellar and Charlie White both performed their dances to "Be Our Guest" and Mary Poppins from Disney week.

The final scores for the remaining three couples were:

Amy and Derek Hough who danced a fusion of an Argentine tango and a cha cha scored- 10, 10, 10=30 giving them a total of 89

Candace and Mark Ballas performed a quickstep/samba scoring- 9, 9, 9= 27 totaling 78

Meryl and Maks performed a foxtrot and achieved a perfect score 10, 10, 10= 30 totaling 90 (a perfect score)

With all that being said we give to you the final results.

Thirds place- Candace and Mark Ballas

Second place- Amy and Derek Hough

WINNERS- Meryl and Maks Chmerkovskiy

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba tells the winning couple that the best part of the season for her was watching them perform together saying "This might be my last season, and if it is, I couldn't wish for a better dance to watch to finish up with."
