Robert Pattinson is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood right now - but he HATES the spotlight! Fellow superstar Justin Bieber enjoys the limelight, so fans might assume that the two heartthrobs wouldn't get along. But according to R-Patz, the Biebs is actually an "alright" kid!

Kristen Stewart's ex stars in David Cronenberg's upcoming drama "Maps to the Stars," which focuses on the life of a troubled teen sensation. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, 28-year-old Pattinson explains this about his character:

"I've met a lot of kids like him. The scene with him and the little girls b*tching about everybody - you just see that a lot. When you see these kids, there is only one way: you either get in therapy now or become a serial killer, or kill yourself. I mean, you can see it really early on - it's terrifying."

So - how did R-Patz deal with the constant fame? Well, he lived the majority of his youth during "different times" -

"I did Harry Potter when I was like 17, and nothing really happened after that. I mean, I made loads of money compared to anyone my age - it was incredible. But I mean, then I just did little TV things afterwards... But I got to live from 18 to 21, you get your own apartment, and basically I didn't star in Twilight until 21. It's different because you're still young, but you've had a life beforehand. Where as if you are 10, it's a totally different thing."

So, what about 20-year-old Bieber? Pattinson explains that he didn't party with Selena Gomez's ex while in Cannes for the city's annual Film Festival. But despite his ongoing fear for child stars, he thinks Bieber's going to be okay!

"I've met him before, though, on his party bus," he laughingly reveals. "I've met him a couple of times. He's alright."

Maybe Pattinson can be the "Believe" crooner's mentor!

And here's an interesting side-note - is Pattinson currently working on an album to promote his own music career?

"I don't know where that came from," Pattinson says. "Every few years, something comes out about that. I'm always trying to work on stuff, but I don't know. I'm kind of like, way too sensitive to criticism; I've got enough criticism on one front."

Stay tuned for more exciting R-Patz updates!
