Reports confirm that popular FOX News anchor Gregg Jarrett was arrested at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport on Wednesday (May 21), following a drunken argument with cops.

According to TMZ, authorities were called to the popular airport on Wednesday afternoon after receiving complaints about an intoxicated patron at one of the local restaurants. Upon arrival, officers attempted to appease Jarrett, but he was allegedly "belligerent" and "non-cooperative." Soon after, the broadcaster was handcuffed and arrested for obstruction of the legal process. He was taken to jail after being booked for the misdemeanor.

Jarrett eventually posted $300 bail and was released around 1 a.m. on Thursday morning.

A FOX News spokesperson later released this statement:

"We were made aware late last night that Gregg Jarrett was arrested in Minneapolis yesterday and charged with a misdemeanor. He is dealing with serious personal issues at this time. A date at which Gregg might return to air has yet to be been determined."

Jarrett's inebriated mugshot photo has since gone viral online. Here's what some (anti-FOX) fans are saying on Twitter:
