Jennifer Lawrence is rather blunt - she typically says whatever is on her mind at-the-moment. The "Hunger Games" beauty simply has no filter! And sometimes, that's not necessarily a good thing...

J-Law recently attended a Cannes Film Festival party at the Eden Roc over the weekend. When she was introduced to famed movie director Alfonso Cuarón, the 23-year-old actress allegedly exclaimed, “I broke out my rape scream for you."

Obviously she didn't mean any harm, but several fans found the statement rather insensitive and disrespectful. Here's what is currently trending on Twitter:

@bellabee13: "Hey Jennifer Lawrence, maybe nobody told you, but just because you've crafted an image people like doesn't mean you can make rape jokes."

@WarrenHolstein: "Now that Jennifer Lawrence is making rape jokes, does it mean they're feisty and adorable?"

@HannahTherese: "The people defending Jennifer Lawrence's rape joke makes me lose my faith in humanity."

@oh_dobrev: "Woow Jennifer Lawrence made a jobe about rape?? How disappointing! I know she's known for her humor but this is going too far..."

@kevanlannisters: "Casually waiting for the Jennifer Lawrence Cult (twelve year olds) to write meta saying she didn't mean that rape joke."

@fxckzarry: "Jennifer Lawrence made a joke about rape and no one cares wtf lmao #doublestandards."

@JennLeighx: "i just dont get it?? jennifer lawrence makes a rape joke and everyone seemed okay with it because its jennifer lawrence? IT'S NEVER OKAY."

‏@gwennyk: "Jennifer Lawrence throwing around rape jokes is depressing news to wake up to. I mean, COME ON. 'I don't have a filter' isn't cute anymore."

@deveIopments: "jennifer lawrence made a rape joke that she's not apologising for. the last thing i needed right now was another reason to dislike her."

@ndownpours: "Jennifer Lawrence has lost all my respect. Rape jokes are not okay."

Apparently, Lawrence won't be able to flatter herself out of this one. Do Mstars readers agree that she should issue an official apology - and maybe watch what she says in the future?
