When he's not the subject of countless, unexplained death hoaxes, Adam Sandler is apparently planning movies around vacations he wants to take. The Saturday Night Live alum revealed this filmmaking detail this week while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! after the host jokingly asked if his seemingly endless borage of comedies have anything to do with just getting a free vacation out of the experience!

"When you decide to make a film, do you say 'I wanna make this film somewhere where I can be on vacation?'" Kimmel asked.

"Yes," Sandler bluntly admitted.

According to the Happy Gilmore star, after deciding to film his movie 50 First Dates in Hawaii, he realized he could get away with free vacations for different movies.

  • In my capacity as a film critic, I find myself more bothered by the sheer audience-insulting incompetence of the filmmaking and the writing. Duty compels me to identify Frank Coraci as the director and Ivan Menchell and Clare Sera as the authors of the script.
