The Oklahoma City Thunder are 2-0 down to the San Antonio Spurs in their Western Conference finals match up, but the absence of Serge Ibaka has been blamed, so would his early return give them a fighting chance? Serge is known for keeping the Thunder together, some would say he's the glue that keeps their team together, and without him, superstars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook just can't play their normal games. It's do or die for OKC, and now they've listed Ibaka as day-to-day, so can he and Durant shock the world and find a way back in this series?

It seems strange that OKC are unstoppable in the regular season, yet fall apart every year in the NBA playoffs. Their latest excuse was the left calf strain that forced Ibaka to miss the first two games (and losses) of the Western Conference finals. OKC GM Sam Presti explained the situation, saying "The abundance of blood and therefore swelling in Serge's calf has reduced substantially and unexpectedly, allowing a level of movement and stability not thought possible after the initial diagnosis,"

He continued "Based on both imaging and physical exam, the considerable swelling in the calf indicated the likelihood of a certain degree of injury, and that established the original time frame for recovery. With this new information, and in an effort to keep his status current, we are now listing him as day-to-day with the understanding that there is a possibility for him to play in this series."

With Ibaka's 15.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game regular season average in mind, will his return make an immediate impact?
