Many have stated the Miami Heat lack the ambition to win their third straight NBA Championship, but that couldn't be further from the truth, as shown in game 3. The Indiana Pacers took game 1, but the Heat have won two straight, showing the bounce back ability that champions require. Strangely, it was veteran Ray Allen, and superstar LeBron James that made the difference, showing that those who have been there and done it, still want to add more success to their resume.

So, what does Ray Allen bring to the Heat? Heat coach Erick Spoelstra said "You can ask anybody in that (Miami) locker room. There are so many years of pain that he caused a lot of us. It is great to have him on our side." Although it's his 18th year in the NBA, he still seems as hungry as ever. Teammate LeBron said "[When] he's got it going. We just want to continue to find him."

Allen's 16 points from the bench, alongside James' 26 points, proved the difference as the Heat stomped to a 99-87 victory. It looked easy when it was all said and done, but the Heat had a terrible first quarter, which was largely covered up by their blistering next 3 quarters. So how is Allen still such a pivotal player in this league? Shane Battier explained "Ray takes impeccable care of his body. I don't. If Ray really wants to play another three or four years, he could do it easily."

Can Allen and LeBron lead the Heat to yet another championship? Perhaps experience is the key to NBA success after all.
