Nobody predicted Leyton Orient to be a heavy-hitter in the 2013/14 League One campaign, but much surprise to everyone, they certainly were. For a large part of the season they were in the top-two, bit slipped in to the playoffs. Again, Orient were quickly written off. After knocking Peterborough United out in the semi final, only a date with Rotherham at Wembley Stadium stood in their way.

Many predicted they'd stutter on the big stage, but they most certainly didn't to start with. The smallest club in the playoffs stormed to a 2-0 lead by the half-time break. Although some believed Rotherham could come back, it never looked likely considering the massive amount of momentum that had swung in Orient's favour, but it happened.

A Jamie Jones error led to a Rotherham goal. The keeper came off his line and failed to get the ball, where Alex Revell made him pay by coolly slotting the ball in to the empty net. This goal ensured the last 33 minutes would be hectic for both teams at both ends. Minutes later he decided to go the opposite end of the difficulty scale by smashing a long-distance volley in to the net. With the game at 2-2 both teams threw everything at it.

The game went to extra time and then penalties, with Rotherham completing the ultimate comeback, winning 4-3 on penalties, breaking the hearts of Leyton Orient. How will Rotherham fair in the Championship, and can Leyton make it one step further next season?
