This weekend was one of the most important in English soccer. Wembley Stadium was host to the Championship, League One and finally, League Two's playoff finals, with 6 teams vying for promotion to the next tear of the domestic leagues. On Monday afternoon League Two's final was the last of the three, which seen Fleetwood take on Burton Albion. Which team would be playing League One football next season?

The game went back and forth, with Fleetwood edging it, and in the 75th minute, former Manchester City prospect Antonio Sarcevic hit a 30-yard free-kick which lofted over Burton's keeper Dean Lyness. Burton battled back, but couldn't find the needed goal, which meant it was Fleetwood celebrating the final promotion party at Wembley Stadium this season.

Ironically, their other star-man was David Ball, who was also a Manchester City prospect. With City's fortunes changing when they were taken over by rich owners, it left many talented youngsters having to find their way through the leagues again. Teams like Fleetwood have certainly reaped the rewards, with their two former Manchester City players firing them in to League One.

It's fair to say that Fleetwood have had their problems over the year, but this was their 6th promotion in the last 10 seasons as they continue to march their way up the divisions. How will they fair in League One?

With the domestic Wembley games done for the season, you'd think England's famous stadium would undergo some maintenance now, right? Wrong. This Friday it will host England vs Peru and the following day, it will host one of the biggest boxing fights of all-time, in Carl Froch vs George Groves.
