'Friends' Star David Schwimmer Helps NYPD Solve A Crime - Get All The Details On The Stabbing

David Schwimmer can add crime solver to his resume. Over the weekend, the Friends star helped the NYPD solve a stabbing case that erupted in a neighboring building to him, after providing them with a surveillance video.

The New York Post reports that the fight broke out around 5:40 a.m. between a 21-year-old male prostitute and his 26-year-old client. The fight started after the customer refused to pay the hooker for his services. The altercation soon escalated, after the prostitute took the customer's computer, which resulted in a physical altercation in the lobby of the building nextdoor to David.

The two were rushed to different hospitals after the prostitute stabbed his customer, probably a good idea. The 26-year-old was brought to Bellevue Hospital where as the prostitute was taken to Beth Israel Medical Center.

Both of the men are currently in police custody, and are waiting to be charged for their crimes.

The video that Schwimmer presented the cops with is helping them piece together the story of what occurred that night. Before they got ahold of the surveillance footage, the only thing that cops had to go on was the accounts from the two men.

Now that the neighborhood has it's own vigilante, maybe his neighbors will be more supportive of the actor living there. After moving in last summer and making renovations to the town house, he received a lot of flack from nearby residents for the noise of the construction.

One even spray-painted "Ross is not cool" on the construction fence referring to his character on Friends.
