What will be the aftermath of Storm and her mutant students taking on the Phoenix Corporation? Marvel Comics teases what's coming up in writer Jason Latour and artist Mahmud Asrar's Wolverine and the X-Men #5.

In the Marvel Universe, Cyclops and Wolverine split up the X-Men during the aftermath of Schism. Logan could not agree with Scott Summers' militant vision of the mutant superhero team. In honor of his true love, the adamantium-clawed anti-hero set up the Jean Grey School, which would honor Professor Charles Xavier's dream of a peaceful world.

Wolverine chose Storm to run as headmaster of the special school. As teachers, they must educate a new generation of inexperienced mutants, such as Rockslide and Armor, to use their superhuman powers. But with Kitty Pryde joining Cyclops's side, and the death of Wolverine foreshadowed, how much time does the Jean Grey School have left before falling part?

From Marvel's official Twitter, check out the preview art by Asrar:

In an interview with Marvel, Asrar explains collaborating with a writer, who also is an artist, "I think it's an advantage to have an artist as a writer as [Latour] can pretty much visualize what's on his mind and see it if works on a page. So although it's not an easy task drawing this book, I don't encounter impossible problems with the scripts. We also have a decent rapport which helps with things going forward in what we want to attain." From Asrar's official Twitter, check out the cover for issue #6:

Asrar discusses the challenges of illustrating a large cast into one shot, "Usually with such a large cast, the costumes would be an issue, but since they're mostly wearing uniforms I don't go through that problem very much. I rather try to keep a mindful eye on body types and body language of the kids."

Readers can catch up with Wolverine and the X-Men #4 now. The fifth installment is expected to hit stores on June 18.
