Dr. Maya Angelou Found Dead At 86 After Heart Problems, Publicist Helen Brann Confirms Death, Celebs React On Twitter

Famed civil rights activist, poet, and author, Dr. Maya Angelou died at the age of 86 Wednesday. The award-winning author was found this morning by her caretaker according to her publicist, Helen Brann.

"She'd been very frail and had heart problems, but she was going strong, finishing a new book," Brann told ABC News. "I spoke to her yesterday. She was fine, as she always was. Her spirit was indomitable."
