Jennifer Lopez on American Idol Comeback: It is a 'Tough Decision' [VIDEO]

Jennifer Lopez said Thursday that deciding if she will sign a new one-year deal to judge American Idol next season it's "tough."

The singer appeared on NBC's "Today" show to promote her upcoming film "Ice Age: Continental Drift," and was asked about her future on the TV talent show.

"It's a tough decision either way but I have to say that there are so many other things that I do and that I put on hold for that. So in the end of the day, which ever way it's a heart breaking decision If I'm gonna have to go," Lopez said.

Lopez sparked media frenzy in May when she said she wasn't sure if she would be returning for her third season on the show. Sources close to the singer said she was "too busy."

But according to the interview she offered today, she hasn't made up her mind yet.

"Everybody wants that definite yes or no and all i can let you in on is my own thought process because that's where I'm truly are," she told the "Today" show host.

American Idol has helped revive Lopez' career. She was named People Magazine's Most Beautiful Woman in 2011 and topped Forbes' Celebrity 100 list in 2012 with earnings of more htan $52 million.

Her one year contract with American Idol was worth $20 million, according to reports.

Despite the her split from husband Marc Anthony last year, she has achieved success after success. She received endorsement deals with L'Oreal and Gilette and created her own line of clothing at Kohl's.
