WATCH: BASE Jumping Dog [VIDEO] Filmmaker Dean Potter Takes Pup Whisper On A Ride In 'When Dogs Fly' Short Film Trailer

Filmaker and thrill-seeker Dean Potter likes to make short films about his adventures. In his latest, entitled When Dogs Fly, the BASE-jumping takes his cute dog, Whisper, on a wingsuit flight. The title of the short film really shines through in this case.

The official synopsis of the short film states:

Filmmaker and adventurer Dean Potter doesn't always BASE jump alone. Sometimes he takes the plunge with his dog, Whisper, strapped to his back.

In the following trailer for When Dogs Fly, we see Potter and his wife enjoying some adventures with Whisper before eventually strapping the pup into a pack that is strapped on to Dean. From there, the real footage starts.

"All Whisper wants is to be with her pack family. When we go on adventures, she goes on adventures. She's just a loyal pup with a very adventuresome papa,' Dean said in a recent profile on National Geographic's blog.

"I've never had a close call wing-suit flying," he said when asked about the dangers of wingsuit flying with Whisper. "I practice a very conservative form of human flight. When I fly with Whisper, we only jump off the safest cliffs in the world with the longest and cleanest rock drops. This allows Whisper to go on amazing, long mountain climbs and hikes with us, instead of being trapped in the car or left at home."

If you're feeling a bit angry about this short film, thinking that Whisper isn't having a good time in that back pack while flying, plenty of YouTube commenters have already voiced plenty of concerns.
