Discovery Times Square has opened up their latest exhibit, the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Comic book legend Stan Lee takes a tour to the new interactive display that provides the official props from the Marvel movies and explores the science behind the superheroes.

According to MTV, visitors are given a personalized S.H.I.E.L.D. badge upon entering the exhibit. Because this is about science, Discovery worked with NASA to explain the science behind the incredible Hulk and the black hole portal seen in The Avengers. While taking the tour, comic book fans will see their costumes from Capatain America and Iron Man under glass.

In an interview with Screencrush, Lee discusses his favorite part of the exhibit, "I think the professionalism. The fact that they take a character like the Hulk, who to me was just a big monster, and show all the scientific reasons as to why he became the Hulk. And they treat it with such reverence and respect, and such professionalism. It blows me away."

In the Marvel Universe, Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man grew up in Queens, Forest Hills with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. The blind lawyer Matt Murdock protects the streets of Hell's Kitchen. The upcoming Marvel's Daredvil seres will also be filmed in the Big Apple.

The popular comic book creator explains why the exhibit and New York are connected to each other, "It's tremendously important. I lived in New York. I wanted the stories to have the ring of truth even though they were superhero stories." Lee continues, "And another thing, by the characters living in the same city, I can have them meet and guest star in each other's stories".

Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. opens May 30 and runs till January 5. If you are in the NYC area, and want to know more about tickets and venue hours, visit here.
