But it's not exactly what it sounds like...

Over the weekend, the One Direction cutie posted this viral tweet:

@Real_Liam_Payne: "Now I may not be gay but I am in love with a man... 2 words the kernel god bless you and your original recipe."

Of course this was just a joke, but rumors that the 20-year-old singer's actually gay quickly stormed the web. Payne followed-up with:

@Real_Liam_Payne: "I'm so fulllllll!!! Think I just ate my body weight in chicken fries and sides owwwwww."

Kind of gross.

But just to be clear, Payne's talking about food here, not homosexuality.

On another 1D note, Payne recently sent out an apology to fans on Twitter for the irrational "smoking weed" behavior of fellow bandmates, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson:
