The 2014 NBA finals have been set in stone. After a long, tough 12 months since the Miami Heat lifted their second straight championship, the NBA has seemingly gone full circle, with the same outcome once again. The Heat will yet again take on the San Antonio Spurs to be crowned the NBA champions. Can Tim Duncan stop the Heat this time around?

The Spurs were locked in a competitive series with Kevin Durant's Oklahoma City Thunder, but their experience proved to be the cutting-edge they needed. For the past two seasons both the Heat and the Spurs have been the best teams, so perhaps it was right that they both made their way in to the finals once again.

The Spurs have proved to be lethal worth their 3-point shooting, which the Heat will have to thoroughly prepare for. The two teams will go head-to-head for their first final match-up on Thursday 5th June. Many fans have reacted badly to the final being the same as last year, with some saying it's "fixed", and some saying they prefer the individual spectacle of the Super Bowl, rather than repetitive NBA finals.

Could this be the last tine we see the Heat in the finals for a while? Star player, LeBron James, who's perhaps the biggest reason for their recent success, can opt out and negotiate with different teams. Will he win another championship, and how will this series impact his upcoming free agency decisions?

What's next for the Heat, the NBA and of course, LeBron James?
