In case you missed it, over the weekend a video was released all across the Internet featuring pop star and accused felon Justin Bieber making a racist joke that involved a derogatory word that most African American people find offensive. You know which one we're talking about. Anyway, Bieber's team reacted quickly after they were unable to buy off the person leaking the video, releasing an official apology from Bieber in regards to his "joke."

Read more on the damning video footage HERE!

"As a kid, I didn't understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt. I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn't realize at the time that it wasn't funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance," Bieber explained with a personal anecdote. "Thanks to friends and family I learned from my mistakes and grew up and apologized for those wrongs. Now that these mistakes from the past have become public I need to apologies again to all those I have offended"

He added: "I'm very sorry. I take my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologies for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake"

Bieber's entire apology was posted to his Twitter account, of course. So take a minute and read the rest of his explanation for the hurtful "joke" he made a while back and how now he's totally never going to do that again (fingers crossed!).
