For a while now, we've understood that Disney wanted to reboot the Indiana Jones franchise since the original star, Harrison Ford, is 71 years old and probably not too interested in a new action movie. The latest young actor linked to the new project in rumors is none other than Kristen Stewart's ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

Though we usually see Robert's name in gossip headlines linking him to Stewart or Katy Perry, this time around the actor is linked to a huge movie project! It is a bit concerning that the news does come from another tabloid website though.

"Disney is looking at its long-term options for the Indiana Jones franchise," a source said according to The Daily Star. "They feel that the series has huge potential on many levels, starting with the films leading to other spin-offs like games which can generate more money than movies."

The insider added: "Rob is top of the initial list because he has showed his acting stripes away from Twilight. But the competition will be stiff."

To be fair, we shouldn't discredit this rumor so quickly just because it involves a gossip website and Robert Pattinson. We're not saying the website is right; we're saying Pattinson isn't a far fetched idea for Indiana Jones.

He's proven his abilities outside of The Twilight Saga, so why not this rebooted franchise? If Disney is looking for a young replacement for Ford, Robert Pattinson isn't such a bad idea! You'll at least get a bunch of girls swooning into theaters world wide!
