This one is definitely throwback Thursday gold.

Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage wins the battle of TBT hands down. A Reddit user dusted off the old photo from the star's 1987 high school yearbook and posted it to the Internet, where it has since went viral.

He channels Billy Ray Cyrus in the photo, sporting a nicely quaffed mullet. He didn't chop his hair off after graduating either; he let his luscious locks grow even during his time at Bennington College. A friend of the actor revealed to Esquire magazine earlier this year that Dinklage had "long flowing hair, adding that his "hair was unbelievable, like total hippie hair."

After college, however, the now 44-year-old mulled over his mullet decision and decided to say ado to his long hair for a shorter 'do. A smart choice in our opinion, which could have helped him score his first film debut in the 1995 movie Living in Oblivion. In the film, he starred as a struggling actor with dwarfism, who was trying to fight for roles despite his size.

He continued to work after that, starring in TV shows as well as various film projects. His real breakout role came in 2003 after being cast in The Station Agent. Since then he has been featured in some big title films including Elf, The Chronicles of Narnia, and most recent X-Men: Days of Future Past. We have to say that we love him the best as Tyrion Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones. His portrayal of the ladies man helped him secure an Emmy and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for the role.
