Justin Bieber may not have to answer to anyone, regarding his recent controversies, but we have been wondering for a while now how his mentor Usher feels about his protégées recent problems.

The 35-year-old R&B singer opened up to Nylon Guys about Bieber's issues, for their June/July issue of the magazine.

The Voice coach discovered and fostered the Canadian singer's talents when he was only 13. He tells the mag that he gave Bieber all the knowledge he had about growing up in the business.

"I gave every bit of advice and always told him it was up to him if he really wanted this. Now that he has it, as an adult, it's his to manage. Do I turn my head in shame based off of what I see, what I know? Nah, I don't because it's all part of life's process. Am I in it with him? Yeah."

Usher knows first-hand what it's like to be in front of the spotlight from a young age. He moved to NYC when he was just 15 and was mentored by P. Diddy. "Someone took the time to help me find what it is that works for me as an entertainer and who I am as a music maker," he tells the magazine.

As far as Justin most recent series of incidents, Usher says, "It's unfortunate. I hate some of the things I hear. Is it all true? I don't know. But I will tell you this: Success comes with a price. Every person that has grown up, grows up with something. It ain't just perfect from the beginning."
