There is life after being killed off so cruelly in Game of Thrones. Pedro Pascal, also known as the hypersexual Prince Oberyn Martell, will take on the lead role in Netflix's latest drama, Narcos.

Nacros follows the true-life story of the ongoing war between the drug cartels and the law enforcement agencies. Viewers will see the growth of the cartels as the drug trade spreads across the globe. While the drug business is booming, law enforcement agencies ante up their efforts to bring down the most-wanted drug kingpins.

According to Deadline, the Chilean actor will play the role of a Mexican DEA agent, Javier Pena. While Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) continues his drug reign, the DEA agent will be sent to Columbia on a U.S. Mission. Pena has to capture Escobar and ultimately kill him.

The Netflix crime drama will be written by Chris Brancato and directed by Jose Padilha. As mentioned here, Padilha's remake of Robocop has just been released, with a free downloadable comic, Robocop: The Gauntlet. Brancato knows the crime genre by hand, especially with the serial killer/police procedural series, Hannibal.

Pascal has just wrapped up playing the revenge-seeking Martell on HBO's fantasy/medieval series. The fan-favorite character was last seen in the most-talked episode of the season. Thrones fans were clearly on Team Red Viper as he fought against the behemoth known as The Mountain. Victory was in his gasp until the episode's brutal ending.

Narcos, starring actor Pedro Pascal, will premiere on Netflix in 2015. Fans have only two episodes left of Game of Thrones before the fourth season ends.
