Dr. Maya Angelou, the woman of many roles. She was a poet, actress, author, mentor, civil rights activist, mother and friend to the world. Today, millions will say their goodbyes to a woman that touched so many lives.

MStars News previously reported that Dr. Maya Angelou's funeral service would be available to watch through live stream from Wake Forest University, where the educator taught American Studies since 1982.

For the past four decades, Dr. Maya Angelou inspired thousands of students to become better writers, and human beings. The great poet died on Wednesday, May 28, at her home in Winston-Salem, NC. She was 86-years-old.

Fans and loved ones have taken this moment to write letters, goodbyes, and thoughts they have to Angelou via Wake Forest University website.

I adored her. She will not be forgotten."
