SPOILER ALERT.

Last season, Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) found her way around a minimum security ward but got herself into some trouble after her rage kicked in on Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning) during a prison yard confrontation.  This season opens with Chapman in solitary during a mural with her egg yolk on the wall.  She called it "Thirsty Bird."

Chapman's solitary is abruptly inturrupted with a mystery trip on a bus, on a plane, and then ends in co-ed prison in Chicago.  Along her voyage, she makes fast friends with a male murder-for-hire.  When she runs into Alex Vause (Laura Pepron) in the Chicago prison, she trades her four-day-old panties for a note to be delivered to her by the murder-for-hire.

When Chapman reunites with Vause, she tells Chapman that they've been brought to Chicago for Vause's former boss Kubra's trial.  She also tells Chapman to lie about ever meeting Kubra to the prosecutor in order to protect themselves.  When Chapman meets with her lawyer, her former fiance's father, he tells her she has to tell the truth or risk more charges.

Vause also informs Chapman that Pennsatucky did not die after their brawl, which relieves Chapman.  No more extra time in prison for murder!  Yeay!

During the trial, Chapman tells the prosecutor that she didn't recall ever seeing Kubra or meeting him specifically.  She tells him that she was in love with Vause and that she never paid attention to anything but her the entire time they were together.

Shortly after she is dismissed, Vause takes the stand and tells the prosecutor everything.  When Chapman finds out, Vause is on her way to being released.  Whoops.

All while on her adventurous journey, Chapman reflects on her childhood.  She relives her brushes with breaking the rules and remembers that she never strayed from the "good side" until she met Vause.  Her grandmother once told her, "Sometimes it's not a matter of what's right or wrong, it's about making a choice that will  cause the least amount of pain to others.  Keeping things to yourself.  Sitting on information and feelings and living with your secrets."

Do you think Chapman will ever learn to stop trusting Vause?  Or do you think she'll leave those memories behind and try to win back her ex, Larry Bloom (Jason Biggs)?
