SPOILER ALERT.

This episode explores Tasha Jefferson (Danielle Brooks) aka Taystee's past while introducing a new character, Vee (Lorraine Toussaint).

Taystee used to live in group homes while looking forward to meeting her "forever family."  She goes to adoption fairs without success.  She fails to impress the couples, but she grabs the attention of Vee who is looking to pick up children to join her drug smuggling ring.  Taystee declines Vee's offer and focuses on finding herself a family to adopt her.  Flash-forward a number of years ahead and Taystee is working at a fastfood joint while Vee recruits another girl from Taystee's group home.

After a while, Taystee changes her mind and begs Vee to let her join the business.  She uses her exceptional math skills to calculate a customer's debt for Vee and proves that she could be an asset to the team.  Vee becomes a mother-figure for Taystee, but where was Vee when Taystee was released from prison last season?

With Taystee's "adoption fair" past, an overlapping theme comes into this episode with Taystee performing in the prison's Job Fair.  Selected inmates were given the chance to do their best in assembling an interview-appropriate outfit, create a top-notch resume, and participate in a final interview.  She shines in each category and wins a small prize.

With all of the Job Fair business happening, Mr. Healy (Michael Harney) strikes up a deal with Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning) to maintain her silence on him witnessing her and Piper Chapman's (Taylor Schilling) brawl in the prison yard.  He agrees to allow her to visit an oral surgeon to fix up her smile.

Meanwhile, on the outside Larry Bloom (Jason Biggs) and Piper's friend Polly Harper (Maria Dizzia) begin hanging out while her husband is away on a trip.  Larry helps with taking care of the baby and Polly is relieved to have a helping hand, but she doesn't shy away from exposing her breasts to him.  She plays it off saying motherhood has made her apartment the FedEx's favorite stop.

Were you uncomfortable with Polly's behavior with Larry?  Do you think Piper would have been offended?  Do you think Taystee will appreciate Vee being around again?
