Today is National Best Friend Day so what better way to celebrate then by grabbing your friend and reading our list of the "Top Eight TV Besties." If you can't be with your best friend today make sure you share the list on their Facebook wall, or tweet it at them so they know you're thinking about them today.

Meredith and Cristina (Grey's Anatomy)

All of our friendships are modeled after Mer and Cristina, after all we just want to find "our person." They know when to have fun together (dancing together to anything by Tegan and Sara) when to be there for each other (after the Burke-Yang wedding disaster) and when to say goodbye to each other. Cristina may be off in Switzerland, but miles mean nothing when you are as good of friends as these two.

Aria, Emily, Hanna, Spencer (Pretty Little Liars)

"Friends share secrets, that's what keeps us close." If that's the truth then these four girls must be the closest friends in history. They've not only saved each other from death multiple times, but have somehow managed to remain friends even when their darkest secrets have been brought to light by "A". Nothing can tear these girls apart.

Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, Samantha (Sex and the City)

There is no better example of girlfriends than this group of ladies right here. Over the years they have been the kind of friends that you can laugh with, cry with, and even drown your sorrows in a cosmo with. They have proved that friendship truly never goes out of style.

While many of you might say that these two should be reserved for the best TV frenemies list we have to disagree. While Serena might have stolen Nate from Blair, and Blair might have had her fling with Dan, it seems that no man could ever keep these besties apart. There is nothing that S and B can't accomplish when they're together. You know you love them, XOXO Gossip Girl.

Leslie Knope and Ann Perkins (Parks and Recreation)

Probably the most cheerful couple on our list. These two celebrate everything together, whether it's the first time they had waffles with each other, or the first day they meet, it seems like Leslie has an ANNiversary for everything, see what we did there? Ann might have just moved away this past season, but you know what we always say about distant, it only makes the heart grow fonder.

Spongebob and Patrick (Spongebob Squarepants)

There have never been two more true blue friends in the whole wide ocean than these two guys right here. They spend most of their time blowing bubbles, playing hooky, and just having some good old F-U-N together.

Chandler, Joey, Ross, Monica Phoebe, Rachel (Friends)

The name of the show says it all so we couldn't possibly have a list of TV friends without including them on it. They shared some of the best moments of their lives together, whether it was births, weddings, new jobs, or just hanging out together drinking a cup of coffee at Central Perk. While the six of them might have had each other as best friends we still consider all of them to be our friends too.

These two are literally around each other 24/7. They work at the same diner, own a business together, and live in the same apartment together. You'd think that at the end of the day they would be sick of being around each other, well not with Caroline and Max. They always have each other's backs no matter what crazy hijinks they get themselves into.
