Tracy Morgan Car Accident Update - FX Network Says 'His Show Will Be Waiting For Him' When Actor Recovers

After Tracy Morgan's accident the only thing that FX producers want him to focus on is his recovery.

The comedian was set to start working on a 10-episode series for FXX this summer but it looks like after his car accident that won't be happing as soon as expected.

The network released a statement regarding their plans of the actor's series.

"The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident," the network said in a statement. "We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery. At the point when Tracy has recovered and decides that he is ready to go back to work, his show will be waiting for him. Right now our thoughts and prayers remain with Tracy, the other victims of the accident, and their families."

The series, which is still untitled, comes from the creative minds behind It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia including Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, and Luvh Rakhe. Morgan's show was suppose to air after Always Sunny in January.

The accident happened this weekend (June 8), when Morgan was on his way home from a comedy gig in Delaware when a tractor-trailer collided with his limo. He is still in critical condition at the hospital where he is surrounded by his friends and family.

A rep for Morgan said that his fiancée, Megan Wollover, has been by his side through his whole recovery.

"The concern for his well-being has been overwhelming, but Megan is respectfully asking that the media await official word through these channels before speculating (mostly inaccurately) on his condition. Rumors about amputating his leg are completely fabricated," the rep for Morgan said in a statement today. "As we shared yesterday, Tracy had surgery on his broken leg. We are working closely with the incredible staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital to share information when it is available. This recovery will be arduous and we hope that you can be patient during this difficult time."
