"R.I.P" to Calvin Harris's and Rita Ora's relationship.

Apparently the couple called it quits a while ago, yet fans around the world are just learning about the split now. The British singer is now breaking her silence on Twitter and is addressing the rumors about the relationship.

"I don't usually address speculation but I've had an incredible time w Calvin, & i will treasure the memories," Rita wrote on her Twitter yesterday. "I've moved on from this topic so i hope people will respect that and do the same. Life can only be understood backwards but it must be lived forwards."

Very wise words for the 23-year-old songstress.

There is a lot of speculation behind why the two have called it quits, yet neither one of them have addressed the rumors directly.

When Calvin took to Twitter to state that he was single last week all he wrote was, "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."

Seems like a pretty amicable split right?

However, other reports are claiming that Ora was blindsided and completely embarrassed by the announcement of their relationship ending on the social media site.

A source close to Ora revealed that "Rita was left embarrassed when he tweeted that it was all over. She didn't' think he was going to make the announcement, so she was shocked."

Others are thinking that Ora may have her sights set on a new boy toy. The "Black Widow" singer recently Instagram a photo of her sitting with Khalil Amir Sharieff with the caption "Me & this sweetheart."

Regardless of the rumors, it appears that Rita is completely focused on the future.
