Move over Scrooge, because this Christmas will have a new Grinch in town. Tardar Sauce, also known as Grumpy Cat, will star in her first holiday-themed Lifetime original movie, Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever.

The internet celebrity pet is known for her cranky facial expression. Her permanent grumpy-looking face is caused from a genetic disorder called feline dwarfism.  What started as an image for grouchy captions became a viral sensation after "The Official Grumpy Cat" took over Facebook and landed on the front page of the Wall Street journal.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the internet famous cat is getting her own Lifetime movie, entitled, Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever. The concept came about when VP of Original Movies Arturo Interian noticed how his teenage daughters are huge fans of Grumpy. Tim Hill (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Jeff Morris have been hired to pen the script.

The Worst Christmas Ever follows a pet-store cat that is always overlooked by potential owners. All of a sudden, there is a 12-year-old girl who can actually communicate with her. Somehow the innocent little girl and the cat with the famous mug end up in a movie that's a mix of Die Hard and Home Alone.

Interian explains why this project is perfect for the cable network, "It brings fun and irreverence that we haven't had at Lifetime. We're so known for our heartfelt sentimentality that it will poke fun at those stereotypes."

So we know there's a plot, but can our feline friend even act? Lifetime is already searching for the live-action actor to play the voice of Grumpy.

Lifetime will begin filming Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever this summer. Readers, are you excited to see Tardar Sauce in her first feature film?
