Keira Knightley may be an Oscar-nominated actress but don’t think she’s living the lifestyle of the rich and famous. In the July 2014 issue of Glamour magazine, the 29-year-old revealed that she forces herself to only survive on a modest $50,000 salary despite her high-profile paycheck.

"I think living an expensive lifestyle means you can't hang out with people who don't live that lifestyle," the brunette explained. "It alienates you. Some of my best most hilarious times have been in the least luxurious places."

When Knightley wasn’t busy modeling gorgeous dresses and jewelry, that would definitely break her budget, by Altuzarra, Matthew Williamson, Tory Burch, Satya Twena, Burberry Prorum, Alyssa Norton, Alexander McQueen and more, the star of the new romantic comedy Begin Again opened up to the fashion magazine about her famous co-star Adam Levine.

"He did play a d-ckhead very well,” she gushed of the 35-year-old rocker and judge on The Voice. “Actually, I admire him being so willing. To play a d-ckhead is quite a big thing when you are trying to break into film and you want to be likable."

Another man Knightley admires? Klaxon keyboardist James Righton, whom she married last May in Paris, France. And while the actress is living her happily ever after, she admits she never considered she would be all-consumed with wedded bliss.

"No! Not at all!" Knightley gasped when asked if she thought she’d ever say ‘I Do’ and walk down the aisle "Actually my parents kept saying 'Why bother?' I think they only [got married] to get a mortgage. But when James proposed, I just thought, Well never done that before. It seemed like a fun thing to do."
