IDW Publishing will embark on an exciting new chapter with the critically acclaimed videogame series, Borderlands. Writer Mike Neumann and artist Agustin Padilla return to the strange and deadly world of Pandora in the latest miniseries, Borderlands: The Fall of Fyrestone.

From Gearbox Software, Borderlands is a first-person shooter game about the fabled search for The Vault. The well-guarded crypt can only be accessed one every 200 years. Everyone wants to get their hands inside the safe, but there are alien Guardians who want to keep the catacomb closed at all costs.

The Fall of Fyrestone takes place after the hit mini-series, Borderlands: Origins. Roland, Mordecai, Lilith, and Brick take off on a bizarre adventure that's just as intense as the planet itself. The Vault Hunters have stepped off of Marcus' bus to discover a city in turmoil. A new threat will force everyone involved to work together, whether they like it or not.

Editor Tom Waltz explains why the new miniseries will interest both gamers and comic book fans, "All of the insane excitement of the mega-popular videogame - not to mention its patented snarky humor - were brought in [Borderlands: Origins] series. And with our same dynamic creative team on board for The Fall of Fyrestone, I guarantee you, we'll be turning up the dial way past eleven this time around!"

Neuman continues the excitement, "Since we finished up Origins, I've been waiting for the opportunity to continue onward in the story now that the Vault Hunters have met up on the bus. No, seriously, I've been waiting outside of Waltz's house since we shipped the last issue." The Borderlands writer continues, "My hair has birds in it and I've been forced to eat them for nourishment. Tom doesn't look at me the same way anymore, but I know he's just as excited to be back (and also chuffed that I'm off his lawn)."

Borderlands: The Fall of Fyrestone is expected to hit stores this July. Don't miss out on the return to Pandora and discover the secrets with the Vault Hunters in the Borderlands comic.
