According to a new report, production on Fast and Furious 7 could be halted for another reason other than the digital recreation of the late Paul Walker. Apparently, sources claim franchise star Vin Diesel has been quite the handful to work with and is making the filming process very difficult for all involved.
"Vin spent a whole day in his trailer one day," one source revealed. "The next day, they waited four hours for him. He called a meeting [last month] of studio execs to his trailer for two-and-a-half hours to say, 'What the f- am I doing here?'"
According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming started up again but with doubles in for the stars after the meeting. The movie news source also states that another source has backed up this initial insider's claims of Diesel's difficultness.
If this news about Vin is true, should we just attest it to grief over Paul Walker's absence or is this some sort of "Diva moment" for the action star? We're not really sure what to make of this new speculation, but Fast and Furious 7 certainly can't afford many delays.
Meanwhile, Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley has denied this claim, insisting Mr. Diesel is not holding up production or causing any problems.
"This production is working through some challenges that are historically unprecedented," she explained. "The crew and cast, led by Vin, have been nothing but terrific under these circumstances."
The final installment of the popular series is set to hit theaters on April 10, 2015.
