Using a straw can make all the difference!

To begin this look, make sure your nails are clean and filed to a rounded tip. Feel free to shape your nails in your preferred style.

Once filed, coat your nails with a base polish. This can be a strengthening base coat or your favorite clear polish. I chose to begin using OPI's Nail Envy after hearing rave reviews online. You can get this polish at any beauty supply like Ulta or Sally Beauty Supply.

To begin this explosive art project, you're going to need to set up a studio. Simply, lay down a papertowel for your workspace. This is a necessary precaution since the paint will be flying.

Prep your canvas by painting your nail white. I used Brucci's Snow White. Once your nail has dried, un-cap your blue nail polish. I used Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in Blue Me Away. Dip the tip of your straw in the nail polish and slowly pull the straw above your nail. With a quick blow into the straw, the blue polish with spray across your nail.

Continue splatterig until you have reached the desired look.

If you're feeling experimental, try splattering from different angles and sample different colors. If you're going to switch colors for a layered effect, make sure to use different straws!
