After years of waffling and deliberation, The Big Bang Theory finally pulled the trigger in Season 7 when Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) got engaged. The moment was so anticipated by fans of the series that Cuoco-Sweeting actually got chills while it was happening.

The bubbly blonde actress spoke to TVLine about Season 7 and the show overall. The conversation turned to the pivotal scene, and the site asked if the "Strawberry Pop Tart" scene was everything she thought it would be.

"It was. Funny enough, they wrote that Pop Tart line at the very last minute and I couldn't remember it! I kept flubbing it, making everyone laugh, to the point that I was like, 'OK, this is taking the charm out of the scene!'" she told the site with a laugh. "But it ended up being so cute, and the audience was going crazy, standing and cheering....We had to keep telling them to calm down, but they had waited so long for it."

When TVLine guessed the reaction must have been huge, Cuoco-Sweeting painted a picture of the situation.

"Oh my God, they screamed. One of the biggest reactions was for when Sheldon and Amy (played by Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik) kissed on the train, and our engagement was huge too. We just sat there for 10 minutes while they were cheering and clapping. I had chills. I feel like I'm a viewer of the show too, so I was excited. I really wanted that to happen, too, for 'Lenny,' for Leonard and Penny."

Check out the rest of the interview here to read much more from Cuoco-Sweeting, including the advice she got from John Ritter that she still uses to this day, as well as her expectations for Leonard and Penny's wedding.
