After a horrific season, Manchester United are hoping that better times ahead. New boss Louis Van Gaal is currently managing the Netherlands at the 2014 World Cup, but his planning for the upcoming Premier League season has started. The Dutch boss already works with Robin Van Persie for his international team, and the pair will work together at United, but it seems like Van Gaal might start a sensational summer of transfers buy buying a Dutch double for his new team.

Van Gaal's Netherlands are having a brilliant World Cup, and he is looking to bring some of their Dutch courage to his new team. He's targeting Arjen Robben, who will cost around £40 million to prize away from Bundesliga club Bayern Munich. Dutch teammate Wesley Sneijder has for a long time been liked with a move to Old Trafford, and despite being past his best, he's admitted he couldn't turn down his international boss.

United are closing in on Thomas Vermaelen of Arsenal, whilst Arsenal are working hard to secure a deal for Italian forward Mario Balotelli. Arsenal are also set to fight it out with Liverpool for Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who has had a stunning World Cup so far, and is available for free. He would bring much needed experience to an EPL side.

With the focus mostly on the 2014 World Cup, it seems like the transfer world will explode once it's finished in July. Which players would you welcome to your EPL club? It's going to be a long, but enjoyable summer of soccer.
