FX has released a new teaser trailer, entitled Metamorphosis, for their upcoming supernatural thriller, The Strain. Viewers will get to see Corey Stoll (House of Cards) and Sean Astin (24) as their characters who are facing a deadly threat of vampirism.

The teaser opens with ominous music and the Lord of the Rings actor stating, "It's spreading."

When its Samwise Gamgee warning you something bad is going to happen, you better listen to the hobbit. You better run for the hills right away."

In the Dark Horse Comics adaptation of vampire trilogy, Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Stoll) is called in to investigate the biological threat of Boeing 777. At first, the authorities think this is some kind of mysterious terrorist attack. Eph and his team have to investigate the crime scene and find out why every single passenger is dead in their seat.

Goodweather gives the scientific explanation, "It's like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. They're undergoing a metamorphosis. When they come out the other side, they're completely different."

In the video, a man stares at himself in the mirror with his bloodshot eyes. We then get a graphic close-up of his teeth. The victim's gums are bleeding and his teeth look like they want to fall out. We all know vampires have sharp fangs; maybe his normal teeth are being replaced.
