The MLB witnessed history last night. The LA Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw pitched a no-hitter, with only one player reaching base through an error. This one error cost him a perfect game. Kershaw was the talk of baseball and the talk of sports, and rightfully so after his amazing game.

He finished with 15 strikeouts and wasn't figured out by any of the batters. Kershaw himself explained his joy, saying "As far as individual games go, this is pretty special. I'll remember this for the rest of my life, and to do it at home is even better." If only he could of made this no-hitter the perfect game he deserved.

The Dodgers pitching has been very impressive, and because of that it's made them a heavy favourite to win the 2014 World Series. For one night only the talk was not about the hitting, the World Series, or anything else for that matter, it was all about Clayton Kershaw and his becoming the MLB's most dominant pitcher.

With many top pitchers struggling at the moment, Kershaw proved he's worth every penny. Can he go down as one of the best pitchers of all-time? He's most certainly showing why the MLB offer guaranteed contracts for their players, rather than the NFL's loose salary-system.

Can Kershaw throw another no-hitter this season or ever? Can the Dodgers win the 2014 World Series? If he carries on in this form, it will be very hard to look past the Dodgers as the top contender for the World Series this season.
