Fans who have kept up with all the news on Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice likely heard the recent rumors that Warner Bros. plans to unveil its cinematic universe slate at Comic-Con 2014 in July. The schedule contained solo movies for Wonder Woman and Superman but not Batman. A new report, however, says The Dark Knight could get his own film down the line.

Latino-Review's El Mayimbe, typically a reliable source for scoops such as these, reports Ben Affleck's Batman would get his first solo adventure in 2019, one year after the supposed release date of Man of Steel 2. The site also suggests the movie would be simply titled The Batman. Furthermore, Latino-Review says this is the studio's current plan, though it could change, and cautions that Warner Bros. is not likely to announce the movie at a Comic-Con anytime soon.

Affleck does not have any directorial duties scheduled beyond 2016's Live By The Night, so it seems like he could direct himself in a solo Batman movie if he wanted to do so.

Former Deadline writer Nikki Finke reported Warner Bros. would announce the following movie slate at Comic-Con in July: "Shazam (July 2016), Sandman (Christmas 2016), Justice League (May 2017), Wonder Woman (July 2017), Flash/Green Lantern team-up (Christmas 2017), and Man of Steel 2 (May 2018)."

Kevin Smith later confirmed her report.

What do you think, Batman fans? Will we see a solo Dark Knight outing in 2019? Should/Would Ben Affleck direct it? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
