Wendy Williams Unsure About casting 'Disney' Star Zendaya As Aaliyah? [ VIDEO ]

Wendy Williams has a lot to say and it is about the new Aaliyah biopic. The TV host is unsure about Lifetime choosing Zendaya to star in the upcoming film.

Fans of the late singer are already expressing their thoughts and concerns about the Disney star playing the "One in a Million" singer and actress, and a petition from unhappy fans has already receieved 2,656 signatures and the goal is 5,000.

Williams seems to agree with the fans of the late star on this one. When talking to the audience about Zendaya, Williams said:

"She's cute enough. She's 17 years old. But it's not about being cute; it's about being an actress and being able to sing," Wendy said. "From what I was told, Zendaya is actually going to be singing Aaliyah's songs, which I think could be a mistake."

Although Williams feels this way, the former Disney actress did prove her dance moves while on an interivew this week with Radio host, Sway on his show, Sway in the Morning.

Zendaya can also hit some notes, this singer has a single called, "Replay" and has been proven a success for the up and coming actress.

Zendaya was also a participant in Dancing with the Stars on season 16, the 17-year-old almost won the Mirror Ball trophy.

But Wendy is still on the fence.

"I don't know how Zendaya sings, but you don't even want to leave anything to chance because people are going to be very, very critical."
