France have always had a talented squad, but for a long, long while nobody has given them a chance to win the 2014 World Cup. However, some people installed the French as their dark horses to have a decent tournament, but they may surprised, too. France had a brilliant period of preperation and now they've taken their excellent form in to the 2014 World Cup. After comfortably winning their opening game, Switzerland were in their way, but France delivered a resounding 5-2 victory. Can they win it all?

The French have booked their place in the next round, and they are perhaps the most in form all-round team the World Cup has witnessed this summer, but can they rise to the occasion against the very best in the world? Arsenal's Olivier Giroud scored early, and Blaise Matuidi soon made it 2-0. From there they never looked back.

Superstar striker Karim Benzema missed a penalty and had a goal ruled out at the end, however, he did get a goal during the game, making him one of the World Cup's deadliest forwards. The Real Madrid player was a nuisance all game and looks to be a big threat to the remaining teams. Benzema looked to score and create and was largely involved in everything good France did.

Just as we had started to forget about them, could France of burst right back in to World Cup contention, or is winning the tournament simply a step too far? Will Benzema's goals earn him a Premier League move this summer, too?
