When Carmelo Anthony was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the New York Knicks, he cited one reason for leaving, the want to win. After spending years in New York he's no closer to achieving that goal, and he can opt out of his contact as early as this week. The general belief has been that he would leave and talk to other teams, and with an announcement coming as soon as tomorrow, the decision has come to light, with sources saying he will opt out of his contract and test free agency.

Phil Jackson is now apart of the Knicks' organization, so many believed the greatest ever NBA coach could convince Carmelo to stay, but it seems he was unable to do so. The front-runners for his signature are the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and of course, the Knicks will try to lure him back. Money is not believed to be an issue, with Carmelo willing to make a much smaller contract in exchange for one thing- The chance to win an NBA championship.

Carmelo has the abilities to take an average team to greatness, so if one of the top contenders were to lock him down for a long-term contract, it'd be hard for them to fail. Carmelo knows this too. The teams he will talk to all have world class basketball players.

Where should Carmelo play the best years of his career at, and can the Knicks throw a package together that would entice him to return?
