Audiences remember actor David Bradley as the cold-hearted Walder Fey who back-stabbed everyone in Game of Thrones' "Red Wedding." Now the British actor will be seen by viewers as an action hero in the upcoming FX vampire series, The Strain.

As reported here, Bradley plays Abraham Setrakian, an aging and forgotten old vampire hunter. Abraham has been searching for The Master since their first confrontation in WWII. For six long years, he has been patiently waiting for his enemy to jump back into the spotlight.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, the Game of Thrones actor reveals what it's like to work with the visionary Pan's Labyrinth director. We also get a little more tidbit about Setrakian's back-story.

Bradley describes working with Guillermo Del Toro on the pilot, "He's one of the great directors and he's just got such a wonderful imagination. So it's something you want to be a part of." The Harry Potter actor continues, "I didn't know an awful lot about it, but he and Carlton [Cruse] described the character and I saw a script and I thought, 'Wow, this has great potential.'"

The Hot Fuzz actor describes his passion for the character, "I just loved the story about a man of a certain age who is an action hero and he's a man with a mission. And it's just an interesting character because he's got such an interesting past, which the story delves into more and more as it goes along."
