The Walking Dead is currently filming Season 5 in Georgia, which means some spoilers about the fifth season are bound to trickle out throughout the summer. Norman Reedus, who plays fan favorite Daryl Dixon on the show, is the latest provider of some of those spoilers.

EW.com asked Reedus about the atmosphere on set, and the actor expressed his enthusiasm about being back at work.

"These scripts are the best scripts so far, and I'm really just excited to be back at it," he said. "There are a lot of characters right now, so there are a lot of really different personalities on set. And it's super interesting, everyone's really bringing it. It's going great. It's so dynamic because it's so fast-paced and so complicated. It's great to be back."

The Season 4 finale featured the reemergence of Rick Grimes as a more authoritative leader who's willing to go to some dark places to get things done. Interestingly, Reedus noted that attitude does not stop with Rick.

"Everybody on the whole team is so badass right now," he said. "It's interesting, because a lot of personalities are clashing, or characters' personalities are clashing. But yeah, we definitely have Rick back."

The finale ended with the characters locked in a train car at Terminus, where a group of presumed cannibals live. Could it be that the survivors we've followed these four years have turned into soldiers in order to take out their new adversaries?

Reedus also remarked about the return of Scott Gimple as showrunner for a second season.  "Yeah, it's great," he said. "Scott, he's so good at his job, and he's such a great storyteller and such a good writer. He has this thing planned out to the end, I think. He's definitely very qualified for the job. I never felt like we weren't stable, though. I feel like we're as stable as we ever were, just we have the confidence that we have this team back. It's such a well-oiled machine right now. It's great, and everyone feels super confident."
